Male Facelift Cosmetic Surgery - Face Lift For Men
By viryabo
Today, cosmetic surgery for men is on the increase as more men are open minded and bold about getting a male face lift, and as it is no more the exclusive rights of women to try to retain or regain a youthful facial appearance, surgeons who perform facelift surgery are on the rise, just as their market is being patronised by both men and women alike.
All over the world, cosmetic surgery for men is increasing in popularity and this is'nt hard to understand because now more than ever, the world places more emphasis on external beauty and general looks.
Most male patients desirous of a face lift are in their forties to sixties, but cosmetic surgery for men can be performed successfully on men in their seventies, and a few in their eighties.
Cosmetic surgery for men who are worried about things such as their dropping jaw lines, their jowls, and the deep unsightly circles and bags around their eyes. They deplore the way the mouth corners begin to droop as the fats succumb to the effects of gravity.
Even as the men understand that all this expectedly happens with the approach of age, yet they are not quite ready to sit back and watch the ravages of age take its toll on their face and necks. As the obvious signs of age sets in, the male skin becomes slack, and as the jaws start to drop and the skin begins to lose its tightness and lustre, the neck area becomes slack and the skin starts to toughen and look unbecoming and rough.
And because of this obsession for looking fit, strong, youthful and attractive, as it seems the younger ones are giving the aging male folks a run for their money, they are (and not surprisingly too), now opting for a face and neck lift. No matter the cost to them, they are now well disposed to go for this all important cosmetic surgery for men.
What Is A Cosmetic Face Lift Surgery?
Cosmetic face lift surgery, generally referred to as a facelift, is called rhytidectomy in medical parlance. It is primarily a way to surgically remove wrinkles and it will reduce some of the more visible signs of ageing.
It smoothens the loose skin on your face and neck and tightens the underlying tissue, making the face appear firmer and fresher, and taking about 10 to 15 years off facial looks, thus making men and women look younger.

Reasons For The Growing Popularity Of Cosmetic Surgery For Men
Though it is a well known fact that men have a better skin texture than women, and therefore have less wrinkles, however, the marks of age cannot be erased from the male facial features as well. What that means is that cosmetic surgery for men gives better results than most female facelift procedures would do.
But a factor that men should consider is that because they have more blood vessels than women do, it will take longer for the blood to clot after surgery, and this calls for extra post operation care.
However, because men do not have the benefits that women have such as the hair, to help conceal the scars of cosmetic face lift surgery, the surgical incision cosmetic surgery for men is made in the crease of their sideburns, inside the ear or around the earlobes, underneath the chin or inside the hairline.
Before a surgeon proceeds with cosmetic surgery for men, their ages, skin types and bone structures have to be analysed. The elasticity of their skin is also taken into account. After all this is ascertained, the surgeon usually designs the facelift surgical procedure for each type of patient and then proceeds with the cosmetic surgery, under the effects of anaesthesia.

Cosmetic Surgery For Men Helps Men Regain Self Confidence & Esteem
After the cosmetic face lift surgery procedure, expectations need to be realistic. For most men, the effects of face lifts last well, so that even years later they'll continue to look fresher, firmer and also feel younger, and it will enhance their self- confidence and self esteem.
The results of cosmetic surgery for men should be lasting, however it must be noted that the facelift procedure cannot stop the ageing process.
So, before a decision is made to have surgical face lifts, it must be thought out carefully and expectations must be discussed thoroughly with the cosmetic surgeon.

We have had so many men come to see us for facial rejuvenation. One of the biggest problems with a facelift in men is the potential for shifting the hairline behind the earlobe, resulting in the need for shaving in unusual places. Also, since most men have short hair, if a scar results from a facelift it could be unsightly and difficult to conceal.
The latest advancements in facelift procedures enable lifting of the cheeks and jowls without any evidence that surgery has occurred. With the One Hour Facelift technique (a multi-planar variation of the threadlift technique developed by Dr. Summers), the skin, muscle and fat can be securely suspended -- resulting in a very natural, more youthful appearance.
Interestingly, we are seeing men in their 50's and 60's, as well as younger men (in their 40's) seek out these minimally invasive procedures. Here are a few examples -- http://www.my-threadlift.com/PhotoGallery.aspx
