Toe Rings: Cute Little Pieces Of Enchanting Toe Jewelry
By viryabo
Toe rings are beautiful toe jewelries that are dainty adornments for the feet. They come either as plain bands or as heavily ornate pieces, with some coming as sets paired with anklets (bracelets around the ankle), referred to as toe ring anklet sets.
Though toe rings may seem to be a relatively new fashion accessory in the western part of the world, they’ve been around for as long as can be remembered, especially in the East and notably in India and in Africa.
This enchanting jewelry for toes are made from many different materials that are metals and non metals based, and can be worn on any toe of either foot, but many claim that the appropriate way to wear toe rings is on the second toe of the left or right foot. Most women however wear toe jewelry on the second toe of the left foot.
Toe Rings As Cultural Fashion Accessories
In India, wearing toe rings is symbolic for married women and serves as a mark of a married status by Hindu women. Where women in the western world wear toe rings singly, Hindu women usually wear them in pairs.
Traditionally jewelry worn on toes and ankles were very ornate with some made from materials ranging from bamboo, strung beads, and wood, to bronze wires, sea shells and rattan.
Now, more contemporary designs have been developed to cater to the fashionable needs of the modern Hindu bride and some of these rings are made to come as many pairs with some adorning as many as four toes, excluding the little toe.
Toe Jewelry for the Modern Woman
In the western world, there is no symbolic interpretation for wearing toe rings, and they are only regarded as fashion accessories used to enhance, adorn and make the feet pretty.
And fashionistas that love to use costume jewelry generously are aware that the feet can be greatly enhanced with these cute and stylish rings.
A great way to wear toe rings is with slides, sandals, and all footwear that generally "open front". They are great on bare feet while walking on the beach in simple flip flops.
With well manicured toe nails, wearing toe rings as a toe fashion accessory will give your feet an attractive and sexy appeal and may induce many men to kiss the cute little ring adorning your foot.
Materials Commonly Used
As in all kinds of materials used to make jewelry, materials used to make toe rings are no exception. They are made in silver, gold (gold holds a 'respected' status for the Hindu family), diamonds, Swarovski gems, brass, faux stones set on metal, or tiny pearls.
For ease of wear and removal, toe rings are seldom closed but are made in loop forms or open hoops.

Men Can Wear Toe Rings Too
Toe rings are mostly worn by women and most of these toe jewelries are fashioned for the toes of women's feet.
However it is not uncommon to find some men wearing a toe ring on a lone toe. Its good to know that traditionally, some cultures had men wear a ring on the big toe for curative purposes, and it was believed that toe rings supposedly boosts their masculinity.

Hello evonne, I know quite a few men who do use toe rings, and they look so cute, especially in the summer months when open sandals are worn and the rings show on a manly foot.
Thanks for the visit evonne and for taking time to leave a comment.
Cheers
