Develop Self Esteem - Boost your Confidence

75% of teenagers, including people in their early 20's have mild to acute acne. This usually brings on low self esteem. Most need help to boost their already low self esteem. Out of this number, over half of them have tried various kinds of over the counter drugs, medicines, creams and potions, all to no avail.

In order to avoid depression, and develop self esteem, you first of all have to accept the fact that you are burdened with this condition you have, and then start treatment immediately, and believe you will always find a cure for your type of acne. 'Seek and ye shall find'

However, to help low self esteem and improve your self confidence, you have to cope with your acne and the attendant scars. You don’t need to allow an acne condition to have a negative impact on your life.

Life is tough enough as it is.

BUILDING SELF ESTEEM - HERE'S HOW

Here are a few tips to show you how building your self-confidence helps you to develop self esteem.

ACCEPTANCE HELPS IMPROVE LOW SELF ESTEEM

Millions of people all over the world have acne, and in a lot of these cases, scars have left faces and upper bodies look unappealing and certainly unattractive. However apart from those who carry the scars, a lot of people have had acne at one point in time, of their lives. So you are not the only person to have acne. Think about it. Acne sufferers abound.

DEVELOP SELF CONFIDENCE & BUILD YOUR SELF ESTEEM

Be confident that this condition will not last all your life. So if you do not help it along, by increase its chances of inflammation, meaning treatment! it will likely go away eventually, but may take a while. Simply take care of your skin. Make it a daily routine to keep your skin free from dirt and oils. Find gentle products to clean, tone and moisturise your face. Wash and clean twice a day. Working at it and seeing even the slightest improvement builds your confidence slowly. This will develop self esteem as you go along. Then simply wait it out, and watch it go away. Be confident about that.

BE OPTIMISTIC

There is always a right remedy for you. Never give up hope for a cure. Read up regularly on improved treatments for acne cure, and note new discoveries. See a dermatologist if it’s a chronic case.

RESIST THAT URGE TO POP ACNE & PIMPLES

Resist that common urge to pop your pimples. Never let friends pop them for you either. Oils, dirt and bacteria from your fingers, together with the friction of squeezing those spots, worsens the condition. And that means, don’t touch your face with your fingers.

PATIENCE & PERSEVERANCE BOOSTS SELF ESTEEM & BUILDS SELF CONFIDENCE

Once you find good products for a cure, keep a good skincare routine and work at your acne. Be patient though, as it will take some time once you're started. But stick with it and persevere. Keep your mind occupied with good ideas, and your thoughts positive. Don't stress yourself over it because stress does not help in any way. It aggravates it immensely. And develops low self esteem.

EXERCISE

It is very helpful if you exercise daily and also practice stress relieving techniques. Relax with deep breathing exercises, so that blood, filled richly with oxygen flows through your veins, delivering oxygen to help enrich and heal the skin. All these things will promote good health, a healthier skin and accelerate healing. And get a lot of sleep, the recommended allowance for your age group.

SELF ESTEEM COURSE

DEVELOPING SELF ESTEEM

Thanks for the visit and your comments asalvani. You must have been luckier than others and have a stronger mind to help accept it in your youth. Some are not so lucky and have a weaker personality.

Hey l never had problems with this condition but I can understand the feeling when you are young and avoided because you have acne. Today there are many products that can help, but the first thing to do is to visit the dermatologist and explore the case, as it's very individual.

Great Hub:)
